Power supply certificate-FCC

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission, US Federal Communications Commission) was established by COMMUNICATIONACT in 1934 as an independent agency of the US government and is directly responsible to Congress. The FCC coordinates domestic and international communications by controlling radio, television, telecommunications, satellite and cable. Involving more than 50 states in the United States, Columbia and the United States, in order to ensure the safety of radio and wire communication products related to life and property, the FCC’s Office of Engineering and Technology is responsible for the technical support of the committee, and is responsible for equipment Recognition matters. Many radio application products, communication products and digital products require FCC approval to enter the US market. The FCC committee investigates and studies the various stages of product safety to find the best way to solve the problem, and the FCC also includes the detection of radio devices, aircraft, and so on.
According to the relevant part of the US Federal Communications Regulations (CFR Part 47), all electronic products entering the United States need to undergo electromagnetic compatibility certification (except for some products specified in relevant terms). There are three common certification methods: Certification, DoC, Verification. The certification methods and procedures of these three products are quite different, and the certification methods that can be selected for different products are stipulated in the FCC. Its certification is of decreasing rigor. For these three certifications, the FCC committee also has relevant requirements for each laboratory.
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) – regulates the import and use of radio frequency devices, including computers, fax machines, electronic devices, radio receiving and transmitting equipment, radio-controlled toys, telephones, personal computers, and other products that may harm personal safety. If these products are to be exported to the United States, they must be tested and approved by a government-authorized laboratory in accordance with FCC technical standards. Importers and customs agents are required to declare that each radio frequency device complies with FCC standards, known as FCC licenses.

FCC certification process

  1. Declaration of conformity: The responsible party (manufacturer or importer) will test the product at the qualified testing agency designated by the FCC and make a test report. If the product meets the FCC standard, it will affix the corresponding label on the product. Declare in the user manual about compliance with FCC standards, and keep the test report for the FCC to request.
  2. To apply for an ID, first apply for an FRN to fill in other forms. If the applicant is applying for an FCC ID for the first time, they need to apply for a permanent Grantee Code. While waiting for the FCC to approve and distribute the Grantee Code to the applicant, the applicant should seize the time to test the equipment. The FCC should have approved the Grantee Code when all the materials required by the FCC have been prepared and the test report has been completed. Applicants use this Code, test report and required materials to complete FCC Form 731 and Form 159 online. After the FCC receives the Form 159 and the remittance, it begins to accept the application for certification. The average time for the FCC to process an ID application is 14-30 days. At the end of the acceptance, the FCC will send the Original Grant of FCCID to the applicant. After obtaining the certificate, the applicant can sell or export the corresponding product.

Certification method: For the products within the above scope, the manufacturer must pass the FCC registration and obtain the A2LA (American Laboratory Accreditation Association) or NVLAP (National Laboratory Accreditation System) authorized test laboratory test. EMCC can be the A2LA authorized test room. After the product passes the test, the DOC and the test report are obtained, and the manufacturer can put the FCC logo on the product and sell it in the US market.
